The purchase of Dinky (Sunrising Frisky) in 1994 was just a start. Soon,
our previous horse family of Lusitanos and Small Hunters were sold as
the number of Welshies increased. The Welsh Sec A Colt Foal Bullet (Trefaes
Serog) was purchased from Fayre Oaks in 1994 leading Pete into the world
of in-hand showing. A welcome change from football. Tanina had the ridden
Sec C Maenan Casi and the ridden Sec D Stallion Coed Cariad Brenin. Rochedo
had became a Welsh Stud!
As the children grew and started riding, the larger sections were sold
and we concentrated on the smallest Sec As. However a couple of Sec Bs
have crept in and will probably continue to do so. Shirley Jones, of the
Maenan stud, also has a couple of further Sec C Palominos, which she is
keeping for us, either for the children when they are big enough, or for
Tanina if she is ever allowed to start riding again in her own right.
Thank you Shirley.
Sunrising
Frisky (Dinky)
Dinky was purchased in 1994 for the then 18month old Deanna. She used
to hack around he village on him, falling asleep half way round. Difficult
to believe that he was once so obliging! After progressing thru fancy
dress classes Dinky has become one of the top M&M Lead Rein ponies
in the country.
At home he regularly hacks out with both children and is a sweet little
jumper. His main aversion is to the squirrels that visit the walnut tree
next to the ménage and being fed late in the morning. First the
feed bowl gets thrown out, then the water bucket, then rugs etc etc.
We will eventually write a book about him.

Pinina
Madoc
Rising 5 year old Palomino Sec A Gelding. Midget was purchased as a baby,
lightly shown in-hand then turned away. It was decided he should be gelded
for ridden and spent a quiet first year in 2001 with Pete & Leandra
doing novice classes. His best success was being placed 2nd at Ponies
UK Summer Champs in the Confined Novice Lead Rein Final. He could not
contend the Lobster Pot as his breeder, Nina Clayton, was the judge. His
2002 season has kicked off to a promising start - winning at his first
outing and getting reserve champion. A just reward for Pete & Leandra,
they have worked hard, with patience and done it all themselves. It was
lovely to see his picture and write up in H&H 17th January 2002.

Pinina
Sandpiper
Rising 5 year old palomino Sec A gelding. Piper is also by Ringstead Candi
and is now co-owned by Rebecca Jarvis who is producing him for the 2002
season. Winning at his fist outing we think Rebecca will have a lot of
fun on him this year.
Piper will be up for sale towards the end of the season.

Very pretty grey Sec A mare that took Leandra successfully off Sprinter
onto Sec A's. A lovely natured mare who adores children.
Now with a new family with tiny jockeys to love.
Weston Comet
Liver Chestnut Sec A who Leandra was happily trotting around on within
two weeks of beginning to be broken. Sold to a show jumping yard to take
their 4 year old daughter into riding. Much loved uncomplicated pony.
